Over the next two years, we will invest nearly €10 million in the further expansion of our family-owned company. “The developments these upcoming investments will bring are substantial. By purchasing a new die-cutting machine and a new printing press, we aim to increase capacity by around 25 per cent. The new machines are intended not only to increase production volume but also to create new jobs. As part of this expansion, we plan to create a total of 65 new positions within the company by 2028,” says Mike Günther, Managing Director of colordruck Baiersbronn.
To integrate the additional production equipment into the existing hall, we have completely redesigned the logistics for semi-finished goods. A fully automated rack storage system is currently being installed on the lower level. Printed sheets will be stored here and supplied to the next production stage on demand. “The overall concept was assessed as eligible for funding by the Economic Affairs Committee of the Baden-Württemberg State Parliament under the ‘Invest BW’ programme for supporting innovation and technology projects,” says Managing Director Martin Bruttel.
Alongside the investments in production, the introduction of a new ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning system) is scheduled for next year. We intend to complete the selection of the ERP system before the end of this year and fully transition to the new system in 2023.
