A major success for our young talents: Our two apprentice packaging technologists, Jonas Kunze and Samuel Wurster, secured third place in the nationwide apprentice competition “Packaging Scores! 2026”. Their creative idea impressed the jury, earning them recognition for their commitment and outstanding performance.
Creativity and Teamwork on a National Stage
The apprentice competition “Packaging Scores! 2026” was organized by the German Association of the Paper and Plastics Processing Industry (HPV) and was open to apprentices and vocational trainees in the printing and paper processing industry. Inspired by the 2026 FIFA World Cup, participants were challenged to develop an original fan item or a practical product for sports clubs or school sports and submit their concept in the form of a project report.
Jonas Kunze and Samuel Wurster, both in their third year of training as packaging technologists, took on this challenge with great dedication and creativity. Their submission stood out among numerous entries, earning them an outstanding third place. The award was presented during the official ceremony held in Potsdam on June 11–12, 2026.
Discovering and Developing Potential
The success of our apprentices demonstrates the importance of giving young people the opportunity to develop their own ideas and supporting them in applying their knowledge in real-world situations. Competitions like the Apprentice Contest not only encourage creativity and technical expertise but also strengthen teamwork, initiative, and the ability to develop innovative solutions.
We are incredibly proud of our apprentices’ achievement. Congratulations to Jonas Kunze and Samuel Wurster! We wish you continued success and enjoyment throughout the rest of your apprenticeship.
