Last Saturday was the annual World Cleanup Day. On this day, countries, communities and companies have the opportunity to participate together in the world’s largest waste collection campaign – the perfect opportunity to roll up our sleeves together and get active for our environment!
After consultation with the municipality of Baiersbronn, our company was allowed to carry out this year’s campaign in the town. Afterwards, the collected waste was weighed and the data recorded on the World Cleanup Day platform.
So on Saturday morning, under blue skies and bright sunshine, the employees and their families were equipped by the organizers with all the necessary utensils, such as grabbers, garbage bags and provisions. The collection campaign covered the entire municipal area. In two groups, they walked around the community and collected all the garbage that came under the grabs. At the end of a successful morning, a total of 11 kg of garbage was collected. Most conspicuous were the countless cigarette butts, as well as the corresponding packaging – but also several packages of sweets. All in all, the campaign was a complete success and we would like to thank all participants and the municipality of Baiersbronn for allowing us to carry out the campaign!
