On September 24, 2024, the German Packaging Award ceremony took place at FACHPACK in Nuremberg – and we had the great honor of receiving one of the coveted awards in the “Product Presentation” category. Together with the fischer group of companies, we were honored for our innovative folding card for the DuoHM dowel. Our packaging solution impressed the jury not only with its appealing design and clear communication of the product’s function, but also by replacing the previous two-material packaging with a cardboard solution. The folding card is made entirely of a single material and requires no adhesive. The jury also highlighted that the packaging takes existing recycling concepts into account.
The event, organized by the German Packaging Institute e.V. (dvi), provided a platform for numerous industry experts and innovators. Nearly 250 submissions from 13 countries were reviewed by an independent panel of experts this year, and only 41 solutions received the prestigious award in one of the ten categories. They received a certificate, trophy and much applause.
The award ceremony was opened by Peter Ottmann, CEO of NürnbergMesse. Oliver Berndt, Head of Events & Marketing at the dvi, thanked the partners of the German Packaging Award: the IGEPA group, FACHPACK and Mitsubishi Electric.
The winners were accompanied on stage by the beats of a DJane and received their certificate, the red trophy and recognition for outstanding achievements. These well-deserved moments were full of pride and joy.
