As a media technologist for printing (m/f/d), you ensure the impressive presentation of text and images on cardboard and learn how to operate state-of-the-art printing machines. Your work consists of checking print data, setting up the printing machines and permanently checking the colour values, the colour dosage and the quality of the printed cardboard sheets during the printing process. The specified quality standards are always taken into account. In order to achieve a high level of quality, it is necessary for you as a print media technician (m/f/d) to work carefully as well as precisely and to react quickly.

After successfully completing your training, you have the option of further training to become an industrial foreman or a state-certified technician.

The training.

  • Duration of training: 3 years

  • Vocational school: Carl-Hofer-Schule in Karlsruhe (block teaching)

  • Important school subjects: German, English, business and project skills

  • Areas of activity during the training are: Printing and ink formulation
