Your tasks as a media designer (m/f/d) specialising in design and technology are becoming increasingly important in our demanding media landscape. The focus of your training with us is mainly in the area of technology.

The most important tool in your training as a media designer (m/f/d) is the PC. You learn to optimise the data received from the customer, prepare it for printing and check it. This means that you edit image and text data, determine and adjust colour tones and nuances. Special editing programmes and checking processes are of utmost importance here. Conscientious and precise work is very important in order to achieve optimal printing results later on.

After successfully completing vocational training, you have the option of completing further training to become a technician or master craftsman, as well as taking one of numerous degree courses in the field of print and media.

The training.

  • Duration of training: 3 years

  • Vocational school: Johannes Gutenberg School in Stuttgart (block teaching)

  • Important school subjects: German, English, business and project skills

  • The area of activity during the training is the pre-press stage

  • Production of printing plates for theSheet-fed offset printing

  • Preparation of images, graphics and Media with editing and layout programmes
